My heart is to contend for the faith that was first delivered to the Church of the living God. To serve, edify, exhort, and correct in order to help every believer be developed into a perfect man, which is after the image of God in Christ. That all people would one day come into the knowledge of God and walk after their heavenly calling.

From the start of 1997, through 1999, my life was introduced to something amazing. I began to experience God. Though I was raised in Church, I didn’t take Chruch or God seriously. I arrived at a place where real change was no longer just a choice, it was a necessity. Though a turning point which was introduced as a conflict, I found a whole new life. My soul and spirit were arrested by God and I’ve never been the same.

    I stood before the Lord challenged by the world around me. Each attack seemed designed with the purpose to stop me from following God. As I saw an increase in the persistence of this world as it tried to influence me, I knew it was time to take a stand. Soon, I witnessed the trials and tribulations which came from this world fall by the way-side leaving God’s Word standing strong and true. I began telling others how God’s Word was becoming more real to me than this world I was living in. It was through this where I started to say that God was becoming more real to me than this world I was living in; that my faith was now becoming logical.

     Then, just a few months before I was called of the Lord to preach, I found an artwork of handmade parchment beautifully framed. This object held within it two things. One was an embossed image of a crown of thorns. The other was the Bible verse Philippians 3:10: “Oh, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection.” It soon became the centerpoint for my prayer room. While in prayer one day, I looked up to it and heard the Lord speak to me in a still small voice. “To know Him is to know the image of Him formed in your spirit through salvation. To know the power of His resurrection is to know the power that image holds and what it’s capable of doing.”

      In June of 2012, God presented the previous 15 to 16 years of my life back to me in the form of a book under the title, “Dead to Sin but Alive to God”. Over that time period, I thought I was seeing near 50 different major Biblical revelations. After writing most of the book, I now saw myself knowing one. That is Christ Jesus, and how He is to me the way, the truth, and my very life. As I introduced Philippians 3:10 into the book, I saw in my spirit the perfect chapter title; Finding Power to Live. I know the Lord brought that to my attention. It wasn’t long after that when I realized what God was doing. I could now see this was the beginning of my ministry. Thus, Finding Power to Live ministries was born. I found I kept remembering curtain subjects which I felt was to have no place in this book. It wasn’t long before I saw another book and its name was to be called, The Work of God.”

     My desire is that you may experience God in a fresh way. I hope reading these books will awaken your spirit so you may see reality through the eyes of God. May it engage your spirit in the interest of the truth and open up your ability to hear from God for yourself. The heart of “Finding power to live ministries” is about developing Christ in you the hope of Glory, walking after the labor of love, and gaining and growing in the knowledge of God.
